There’s no doubt that having an asthma attack is a problem within our lungs. As we have the attack, the bronchial passages begin to restrict themselves because of swelling and other issues that are involved. It can become extremely difficult for an individual to breathe, as if they were trying to breathe through a small straw that was constantly getting smaller. Not only can it make it difficult to breathe but at times, the individual may not be able to get adequate oxygen and they lose consciousness or perhaps even lose their life. That is how serious of a problem asthma can be.

What many people don’t realize is, however, asthma is not always a problem that is restricted to the area of the lungs. Unfortunately, we are not taught this but rather, we are taught that we need to breathe in damaging steroids and other chemicals through the form of an inhaler in order to open up the bronchial passages again. I’m not saying that it is a bad idea to have these on hand in case of a life-threatening situation, but I am saying that if you are able to find a natural cure for the problem, you may be able to overcome it permanently.

The body is truly an amazing thing and it is tied together in ways that many individuals, quite honestly, don’t understand. It should not come as a surprise to us, therefore, that a problem in the lungs may actually be stemming from another part of the body. If the body is out of balance, it can give us signals that we need to bring it into balance in a number of different ways. One of the things that needs to be checked when we are having an issue, regardless of what the issue is, is our digestive health.

The digestion that takes place in the body comprises much of the energy that our body uses on a daily basis. Having the digestive process run as smoothly as possible will help our overall health to be improved. That is the reason why it is important to take a probiotic every day. In doing so, you will not only be providing your digestive health with what it needs but you may also be providing your entire body with the break that it needs to overcome problems, such as asthma.

Breathing problems are something that many of us experience and at times, it may go beyond an inconvenience and become something that is life threatening. This is the case whenever an individual has asthma and the unfortunate thing is, medical science is unable to cure the disease. Yes, they may be able to help with the symptoms to a certain extent but even doing this from a medical point of view may be damaging to our health. That is why it is important for you to make sure that you avoid the problems at all costs in a natural way.

Asthma is not necessarily a disease in and of itself, and may be a problem that is related to something else entirely. Many naturalists to agree that a lot of the problems that we experience are really our body’s way of telling us that something is out of balance. One of the most common things that cause is asthma attacks in an individual is some form of an allergy. The allergy doesn’t actually cause the asthma, it merely triggers it to occur. Therefore, we can break it down into things that cause asthma from the core and things that trigger it into becoming severe enough to be a real problem.

We may try any number of different things to overcome allergies and to avoid anything that is going to trigger our asthma. You may not realize it, however, but the problem that is triggering your asthma may be with you almost all of the time. I’m talking about the carpeting in your home. Although it may be comfortable to walk on, it can be quite deadly to those of us who have a difficult time with our breathing. Why is that?

Carpeting is not natural and it is made from man-made fibers and put together in a factory using a number of different chemicals that stick with it for the long term. As the carpeting ages, it leeches these chemicals out into the air and we breathe it in day in and and day out. We may not even recognize the fact that we are getting these chemicals into our lungs but rest assured, you most certainly are if you’re around carpeting for any length of time.

The only way to really treat this problem is to avoid carpeting whenever possible. Try to use more natural type of floors which could include tile or perhaps even wood. In doing so, you will avoid breathing in many of the chemicals that could be triggering a deadly asthma attack.

You would probably be surprised with the number of individuals who are suffering from asthma at any given time. Some of us suffer from asthma on a regular basis, constantly worrying about when our next major attack will occur and having difficulties breathing in between the attacks themselves. There are also some individuals who only have an occasional bout with asthma and they may be wondering why exactly they are having this difficulty from time to time. The honest fact of the matter is, very few people understand what causes asthma but they may realize that it has triggers which can bring it about from time to time.

One of the major triggers that you may be experiencing has to do with the amount of pollen that is in the air. Even many of the weather stations that are currently on TV will show pollen alerts, even though it does not really have anything to do with the weather at all. When the pollen is high at certain times of year, people who have reactions to the pollen are going to have different difficulties which may include asthma. The higher the pollen count is, the worst people are going to be as a result of it.

There are very few things that you can do from a medical standpoint to overcome this problem. You may take an antihistamine but this is really only going to cover over the actual issue, the reason why your having a reaction to the pollen in the first place. If it is a temporary thing, you may want to try putting a little bit of sea salt under your tongue because this is the most powerful natural antihistamine that is available. Make sure that you drink water along with it in order to keep the body in balance.

Other than that, there are a few other things that you can do in order to lessen the amount of pollen that you are breathing in daily. One thing that you can do is buy a high quality air filter for use in the room where you sleep. We tend to breathe more deeply at night so making sure that our room is allergen free is very important. Another thing that you can do is to make sure that your hair is clean before you go to bed. Our hair tends to act as a pollen magnet and rolling around on our pillow at night can bring the pollen very close to our face. Doing these two things should help.

For those of us that have experienced a severe asthma attack, the panic and an inability to breathe can be something that we fear constantly, even whenever an attack is not ensuing. We may try to do everything within our power to avoid having one of these attacks and for good reason. Not only are they inconvenient and uncomfortable, they kill many people on an annual basis and if you are unable to get the attention that you need, they can cause plenty of problems for you as well. Although there are a number of different things that you can do to overcome the problem, here is something that you may be missing.

Medical science is unable to tell you exactly why you have asthma but they can tell you that there are certain things that will trigger it in many cases. A good example of this is if you have allergies and many of us do have allergic reactions, even if we are not aware of it. Allergies can show up in many different forms and it is not just a runny nose that we experience. Some people cough, other people have skin reactions and for a vast majority, breathing problems can occur.

One thing that you may not realize is the fact that your hair acts as a magnet to pollen that you carry around with you all day long. Typically, this will not bother you as your hair is not directly in contact with your face unless you happen to have an odd hairstyle. The real problem occurs during the night, whenever you are transferring the pollen that has been stored in your hair during the day to your pillow. You breathe this pollen in and, as we tend to breed more deeply at night, you are breathing it in more deeply as a result.

That is why it is important for you to make sure that you wash your hair along with the rest of your body shortly before going to sleep. Make sure that you do not use water that is too hot or too cold as you do not want to alter the core temperature of your body to the extent where it will disrupt your sleep as well. By keeping the pollen off of your body whenever you go to bed, you keep it out of your lungs where it can do the most damage.

Although many people who do not have asthma consider it to be a problem with breathing, it actually goes much deeper than that. For people that suffer from asthma on a regular basis, the effects can not only be uncomfortable but they may actually be life-threatening. As a result of the bronchial walls closing, it becomes increasingly difficult for an individual that is undergoing an asthma attack to breathe properly. As a matter of fact, there are cases in which these walls close to the extent where the air is cut off completely and the individual loses consciousness or perhaps even dies.

Although there are some pharmaceutical treatments for asthma, these are merely only things that are going to control the symptoms to a certain extent, not things that are actually going to be able to cure the problem and control it for the long term. Most people realize that in order to do so, they are going to have to adjust their lifestyle considerably but for individuals that suffer from this problem on a regular basis, it is really going to be well worth the effort.

As far as a natural cure for asthma is concerned, it is not always doing something that is going to treat the problem, at times it has to do with avoiding things that cause the problem in the first place. What many people don’t realize is that allergies to food are often behind an individual’s asthma attacks and in order to overcome those problems, they need to avoid the things that are triggering the attacks in the first place.

The real problem is that the types of foods which trigger asthma attacks vary from individual to individual. While one person may get severe asthma if they are even near anybody who eats peanuts, another individual may be able to eat them without any problems. The same is also true for other foods that are typically high allergen, such as shellfish.

That is why it is important for an individual who is having regular asthma attacks to keep a food journal in order to recognize the patterns that may be happening. It might also be necessary for them to remove certain foods from their diet for a period of time in order to see if a difference is noticed. It may take a little bit of work on your part, but eventually you will be able to identify the things that are causing the problems.
